Both A.P and Telengana have good road internal road network.

Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh has been divided into 13 districts. Anantapur, Chittoor, Cuddapah, Egodavari, Guntur, Krishna, Kurnool, Nellore, Prakasam, Srikakulam, Visakapatnam, Vizianagaram, Wgodavari.

Chittoor, Nellore, Cuddapah, Prakasam districts can be reached easily from Chennai by rail or road. Anantapur, Kurnool districts can reached easily by road or rail from Bengaluru. Kurnool district can be reached easily by road or rail from Hyderabad also. Guntur, Krishna districts can be easily reached by road or rail from Hyderabad. Egodavari, Wgodavari districts have direct bus/rail from Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar. Srikakulam, Visakapatnam, Vizianagaram are well connected by road and rail from Bhubaneswar. Tirupati (in Chittoor district), Vijayawada(Krishna district), Visakhapatnam are well connected by rail/road/air with all major cities in India.


There are 33 districts in Telangana :: Adilabad, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Hyderabad, Jagtial, Janagaon, Jayashankar-Bhupalapalle, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddi, Karimnagar, Khammam, Komarambheem, Mahabubabad, Mahabubnagar, Mancherial, Medak, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Mulugu, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Narayanpet, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna-Sircilla, Ranga-Reddy, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Suryapet, Vikarabad, Wanaparthy, Warangal-Rural, Warangal-Urban, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri.

National Highways 63, 161, 163, 30, 44, 65, 161AA, 161B, 161BB, 167, 353B, 353C, 363, 365, 365A, 365B, 365BB, 563, 765D pass through Telangana.

National Highway 44 passes through Adilabad, Hyderabad, Jogulamba Gadwal, Kamareddi, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Wanaparthy districts and thus connects them directly with rest of India. It connects Jagtial, Mancherial, and Nizamabad through National Highways 63. It connects connects Bhuvanagiri-Yadadri, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Ranga-Reddi and Sangareddi through National Highway 65. It connects Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Bhuvanagiri-Yadadri, Bhupalapalle, Jangaon, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Warangal-Rural and Warangal-Urban through National Highway 163.

New Delhi-Chennai rail route passes through Khammam, Komarambheem, Mancherial, Mahabubabad, Warangal-Rural, Warangal-Urban.

New Delhi-Hyderabad rail route passes through Bhuvanagiri,Hyderabad, Jangaon, Khammam, Komarambheem, Mancherial, Mahabubabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Warangal-Urban.

Chennai-Hyderabad rail route passes through Bhuvanagiri,Hyderabad, Janagaon, Khammam, Warangal-Urban.

Hyderabad-Bangalore/Mumbai rail routes pass through Hyderabad, Vikarabad.

There is an alternate route between Hydrabad-Chennai which goes through Gadwal, Hyderabad, Mahabubnagar and Wanaparthy.

Connectivity by air for both states ::

Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati are well connected by air with all major Indian cities. Chennai/Bangaluru airports are near to the southern parts of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, while Visakhapatnam,Vijayawada airports are very convenient to the northern coastal districts.
