Warangal Rural district has Bhupalpalle and Mulugu districts in the north, Mahabubabad district in the east and south and Janagaon and Warangal Urban districts in the west. Warangal is the headquarters of the district.
National Highway 44, 365 pass through this district. All major cities are well connected. TSRTC runs bus services to all important cities in this district and neighbouring districts. Delhi -Chennai/Hyderabad railroute passes through this district. All important cities can be reached easily from Warangal.
